MacBook Air Windows 7 WiFi Problems

Hello, I have a 2013 MacBook Air running Windows 7 via Boot Camp. My unit has an i7 processor, 8Gb of ram, and 512Gb of SSD space. For the last two months, I’ve been experiencing issues connecting to my home AT&T U-Verse WiFi network. I have a 25 MBps internet connection, but the connection is slow: webpages take a little while to load, downloads stall out or take a long time, and every so often the connection just drops. Every other device in the house works wonderfully with no issues whatsoever. When I get connected to SpeedTest.net, the results are fine. I’ve tried the following: 1. Turn on/off WiFi in wireless settings. 2. Uninstall and reinstall the WiFi adapter driver. 3. Install all available software/firmware updates from Apple on the Mac side. 4. Change the channel on the router (2Wire 3800). 5. Restore the router to factory configurations. 6. Reinstall Windows 7. After reinstalling Windows, my internet worked great for 4-5 days. Then, suddenly, I noticed I was back at square 1 again and all of my old problems were back. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you in advance. Regards, Michael

hi, this isn't just a windows on macbook air problem. it' seems that all 2013 macbook air's, have been having problems with wifi drivers. even in OSX they have been seeing problems. so i'd say what ever the problem is, has probably translated over to the drivers you need to install on windows to make the macbook's wifi card work in windows.

Hi Michael -- I just purchased the same model MBA from Apple's refurb store, will be installing Win7 via Bootcamp tomorrow, and will keep an eye out for this issue. In the meantime I thought I'd share some system info to see if there are any basic WLAN adapter hardware/firmware differences between our systems. The following information is pasted from the "Network / Wi-Fi" section of the MacOS System Information utility on my MBA running MacOS 10.9. Interfaces: en0: Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x117) Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (6.30.223.154.45)
