If you’re buying new hearing aids check out the Costco branded (Kirkland) hearing aids that perform same as the latest Phonak devices and cost a third of what you will pay at a private audiology practice. The difference the private practices’ business model is to bundle their charge for future services along with the cost of the hearing aids. At Costco the services are free as are the warranties, tests, etc. They charge only for the hearing aids. I paid $1400 for a pair of KS10 aids after returning my brand new Phonaks (which cost over$4K) because of the cost difference.
If you use tap control hearing aids with bluetooth iPhone, you may have problems inadvertently triggering Siri by putting on your sunglasses or adjusting your facemask. Bill at Apples accessibility support team finally solved this problem for me. It was not an Apple problem. It was in the remote control app. Hidden in the spcial features is a way to activate the voice assistent with a tap. To fix it for Easy Line Remote: Go to Touch Controls > Custom Actions > then choose: - Pause/Resume Streaming - Trigger Voice Assistant - Off/No action Tap sensitivity - Light/normal/firm tap. Same for the myphonak app.
