One time with someone's iPad, a loud noise approached when I charged it. Some people might have the same problem too, even with macs dating back to 2006. Have you guys ever encountered that noise?
Yes, please be specific when asking in the noise in the original post. What sort of noise is it? If it is a ding like sound, that is normal. It means that your device is plugged into usb to start charging. If it is another noise, then some sort of problem is occurring with your device, make sure it is an original lightning cable or Magsafe cable. I will specify in magsafe adapters, do not, and I repeat with all sincerity, do not go for cheap third party adapters. They will eventually fray and start sparking, thus causing damage to your machine and property.Like i said what is the noise that you are referring to.
If you're hearing a ding each time you charge your phone, thats normal, the apple watch makes that ding noise too. However, I have never heard of the mac making a sound when charging, does it, I mean a ding sort of sound like the iPhone or apple watch?
You give us no specific criteria about what it sounds like, but a "loud fuzzy sound", we're not there to hear it. for all we know, your friend's iPad mini has water damage and it sounds like that because he spilled his water, coke beer, insert liquid on it. You give us no help, just a half ass shot in the dark, now expecting our help? More then one person has acurately said, it's a ding sound, it's charging. If you're so freaked, why not make sure the adapter is a real apple one? Sure it's expensive, I'll only buy Apple made ones. Next time, before running on here with a hairbrained scheme please, think before you write. I don't know if English is your first language, if not, that's fine, please understand your lack of description leaves others trying to help in disspare. If we're wrong, don't bother posting if you know better then us. Also, if you want to make sure it's charging, touch the very top right of the screen. It will say "15% battery power, charging." So if the plug is screwed up, you can get another one.
I think they mean the sound is a static type sound which means one of 2 things, either liquid has gotten into the iPad itself thus causing damage, or your adapter is fried, or the iPad itself has maybe fried out. Once again, I can't help you because you did not elaborate enough. In these kind of situations, you need to give precise details on what type of noise you hear. We can't help you unless we're either there, or someone tells us in specific detail what the noise is. Fo instance, it's a static sound, like when a radio isn't tuned to any station.

If you are using an Original or Apple certified adapter and cable, and the device was not abused or neglected, you may hear the device “breathe” as the components inside are electrified. Google it and you will find numerous discussions about this. Some people say they hear it while others don’t.
Meh, I think it's normal. I would be worried if the device suddenly got hot and stuff started popping, ergo I had that happen to a cheap chinese piece of crap power bank a couple ears ago. Honestly with power banks and high capacity batteries, higher than 12000MAH banks, you get what you pay for. Spend money on them and get a good brand, and you should be right as rain.

Moral: Stick to Apple chargers for giving juice to your Apple devices.
It's a kind of static sound that I also get when touching the power plug(going into my device) with my ear plugs. Not when I put my iPad on speaker. This is for me though, as for OP I'm not sure.

Your reply up there after the static and sizzling sound was a little... well lets just say a tad bit hurtful. I mean, I get that the poster isn't giving much info, but we must respect the fact that not all people are from the same country or state, and that they probably struggle with speaking different languages, especially when they have just got here, or have been here for a while.

You guys are wrong....... It's a fizzy and fuzzy loud sound! It happens when I plugged my friends iPad mini in to charge.....
