Hi. I just got my Airpods a little over a week ago and I'm loving them!!! I've tried using my bluetooth keyboard on my iPad while listening to my airpods and the AirPods wont stay connected for long when I start using my keyboard. I'm able to use my bluetooth speaker and keyboard at the same time. So I don't understannd why I can't with my Airpods. Has anyone been able to use both AirPods and a bluetooth keyboard at the same time?

I'm typing this reply while using Airpods on a bluetooth keyboard. I never have either the Airpods or keyboard disconnect on me. I'm using an iPHONE7 running the latest iOS. I wonder if perhaps the keyboard or iPAD you're using is an older model. That's the only thought I have as to what might be causing your difficulty. Hopefully, others can be of more assistance.

I'm using an iPad mini 4 with the latest update and a focus bluetooth keyboard.

I don't know anything about Focus Bluetooth keyboards. The only Focus I know is a Braile display from Freedom Scientific. I use a Miscrosoft Universal Mobile keyboard without any connection difficulties. One thought which just occurred to me was the order in which you connect the devices. Perhaps, it would be more stable if you connected the keyboard or Airpods first. You may also want to try resetting your network connections. Go to settings, general, reset. That seems to fix some problems people had with Airpods. Those are the only two suggestions I have at the moment.

I don't know how I did it but I got them working with my keyboard. I'm guessing from what I did I should turn my AirPods on before switching the keyboard on. Now I'm typing this with my keyboard and Airpods.

Glad that worked. My keyboard has volume and other media playback buttons so I don't mind that the Airpods lack these controls. They make a very portable and effective combination.

I have the logitech ultrathin cover keyboard case. Doesn't have media controlls but that's fine as it's also a case for my iPad.
