Got an iPhone 6S Today for Christmas; How Can I Make The Best of It?

Hi guys,
So I received my iPhone 6S for Christmas today, but I have a few questions before I go get my sim card and plan tomorrow.
1. If you have or haven't noticed, this is my ultimately first time using an iPhone. What new features will I see stepping up from my years of iPad usage?
2. I've heard that iPhones have some sort of vibration pattern feature. What is that about?
3. And finally, a basic generic question: How can I make the best of this device?
Thanks.

More info, like all phones do, it came with a charger. Must I charge the phone before they take it to install the plan?

As far as I know, you are not able to finish setting up iPhone until a SIM card is inserted. However, you do not need to charge it before inserting the SIM card. Usually, your phone will arrive with some charge in it as the phone leaves the factory fully charged.

When you receive phone calls, messages, notifications and when apps use vibrations, your phone will vibrate. These patterns can be adjusted in the Settings app. Your phone will also make shorter vibrations when you use 3D touch, a feature that you may find you enjoy. Other enhancements include a better camera, a faster processor, more RAM, and depending on the age of your iPad, the ability to use some other iOS features.

You won't find too much different to using your iPad. Some apps such as Mail and Safari will appear and act slightly differently, and you may find that buttons seem closer together because of the smaller screen, but by and large, the experience will be quite similar.

To make the best use of your phone, I would say that the best method is to dive in and explore what it has to offer. In your hands, you have an industry-leading device that is just waiting for whatever task you can throw at it. So explore features and find the best combination of features, apps and services that allow you to become a better person than before you received your phone.

Thanks TJT. That means it's worth getting my sim card tomorrow.

Like I said, the iPhone is such an awesome devise, there are, virtually, many things you can do with it. Do not feel afraid to explore and to find out, firsthand, what it can do. Enjoy your new iPhone. Merry Christmas.

You can actually finish the set up process without having to Set up a Sim card, you just won’t be able to receive calls or texts. Congratulations on getting your first iPhone!
