Good Quality Battery Case and/or Leather Case for the 6s Plus

I can still hardly believe it :-) , but suddenly the 6s Plus is 'here on my table'.
And now I have some questions – I'm sure there are people who know much more than me about this, and perhaps you can give me some advice? I'm hoping that others might also find it helpful.

Are there good battery cases for the 6s Plus? I haven't really found anything that seems worth buying.
And I'm also thinking a high-quality leather case might be a good idea. But I don't want any magnetic catch – too dangerous, with the bank cards and so on in my handbag. I see the leather case Apple makes might be an option, but doesn't that have the Apple logo on it? I wouldn't want that. I want a simple, modest, professional-looking case.

It doesn't seem advisable to use the phone without any case, so I guess I need something before I 'unbox this unexpected present'.

I really would like a battery case. I can just charge it via micro USB, which is really handy because I have other devices like Braille displays and headphones, so I can just leave the micro USB cable plugged in the charger, and charge most of my devices with it.

Does anyone have any advice, suggestions, ideas?

Thanks so much!

Hi :)
I, too, have the ipHone 6S plus. I use the Nektech 4000 MAH battery case in conjunction with a MyCharge RazorUltra power bank. The battery case is quite powerful and can take the phone from fully dead to 100% charged and still have a little juice left over! I've mainly used my power bank to charge the phone/case. The charging process is interesting. It doesn't charge simultaneously, it charges the phone to somewhere around 90%, then starts charging the case. It takes roughly 2 or 3 hours to charge the case with the power bank, but it gets the job done!
HTH.

Thanks so much, Knowledgeable Forum Member :-) !

Could it be that this case is only sold by Amazon in the US? Not in Europe, anyway, it seems. I wasn't very successful in my search :-( .
Is there any other option? Does anyone have another suggestion, perhaps?

Or what about a good leather case? Maybe I'd be more succesful with that.

Now I have this brand new phone, 'waiting in the box', and I can't really use it because I don't have a case for it :-) .

I'd try typing iPhone 6S plus or 6 plus battery case, as the phones are the same in terms of size. The 6s plus is slightly thicker due to the force touch stuff inside it. However it isn't a problem for my case! I'd think it was being sold over in europe. Again, on amazon, try just typing iPhone 6 plus battery case or iPhone 6S plus battery case. Be sure to put the plus in your search :)!
HTH, and good luck.
If you have any more questions/need help, feel free to ask! :)

Hello,

Personally, I stay away from cases with built in keyboards or battery. Not only are they heavy, they add more bulk. It doesn't feel comfortable nor does it look good when in my pants pocket. Ditto if it's in my inside brest pocket of my jacket.

What I have is a backup battery. It's small and light yet strong enough to charge both my ipad and iphone. The wall plug is also built into the unit so I don't have to carry around additional adapters. It's made by Powerjuice.

For leather cases, I recommend Sena. The leather is smooth and soft. It has a few slots for your bank cards and ID. The only downside is it does not come with a screen protector. For that, you should look at bodyguardz.

HTH and good luck.

I have a 6S Plus, too. The phone has a really good battery in it, so I settled on an "adopted" leather folio case. It feels like a really thin leather bound book. The cover protects the glass and helps keep you from performing some undesired tap on the screen while in your pocket. I have been very happy with it. For emergency power, I have a Mophie Juice Pak that I bought a couple years ago, which is all I need. Most of the time, just charging my phone at night is adequate.

Good luck,

Morgan

FYI. apple has one that last 20 hours. Also there is a nice one that looks like a woman's lipstick and it has 3 recharge for $20 in Amazon.com. Forgot the name but I think start with letter A. The apple case is $90 I think. Applevis.com did a podcast on it. Someone else did another. Do a podcase search in here and you will find what you are looking. Good luck.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions, thoughts, and so on!

I should have said that I have an external power bank...

Also, yes it is true that battery cases make the slim phone huge, and don't look very good :-) . But the case I have for my 4s (and am - at the moment - still using) is just too handy :-) . I have got used to not having to charge the phone so often, despite using a Braille display, headphones, a bluetooth keyboard and so on. So I thought: I want something similar for the 6s Plus – if realistic/necessary.

OK, so another question: How long does the battery of the 6s Plus last when a Braille display is connected most of the time? How many hours? What's realistic? Estimations, experiences, thoughts...?

Thanks!

Well, it honestly depends on what you are doing on the phone. Plus, it depends on how bright the display is, wifi on, etc. Bluetooth doesn't take much energy to run a display, so you should realistically get a full day of use. I'd still invest in a battery case, truly if it works for your older phones! That's what I did also. I had a battery case on my 4S, 5S, and now this phone. Like I said you should get a full day of use out of your phone,I can't give you number of hours.
HTH, and good luck!

OK... Thanks for replying again!

Yes, that's exactly what I'm thinking: It works for my older phone, so I want something similar for this new phone.
But, I can't find the one you recommended on Amazon. Well, I found it on Amazon.com and .uk, but it would be too expensive to order from there.
And if I type 'iPhone 6s Plus battery case' or something into Amazon, I get all kinds of results, of course, and it's impossible to say which ones are good – and many got bad reviews.

Please – Knowledgeable Experts :-) - do you have any other suggestions, as far as battery cases for the 6s Plus are concerned...?
And by the way, many reviewers are complaining that the case they ordered for the 6s Plus doesn't fit properly; it's find for the 6 Plus, but not the 6s Plus, seems to be a common complaint.

And, as far as leather cases are concerned: I wouldn't want one with credit card slots or other 'fancy stuff', just a plain, modest, good-quality case. Is there such a thing for the 6s Plus :-) ?
I couldn't find this 'β€žadoptedβ€œ folio case' – that is , I'm not sure if I found the right one.
If anyone could post a product name or a link, perhaps... - I'm sure there'll be others who might find it helpful. After all, I can't be the only one 'in the world' who has a 6s Plus and wants a good leather/battery case :-) .

Thanks so much!

Hey!!

I just went on amazon to look at battery cases, and found a case that had 8000 MAH of juice. It was by a company called raidon, and I am not sure if it is available in the UK, as I live in the US. That nekktek case is apple certified, and because I have amazon prime, it was somewhere around like $39, which for what it originally was, is quite a nice deal. I bought that case over christmas, and it still shows up as $39, so that is a great deal.
To be frank, you won't find a lot of battery cases that are under $100. I'd look at the 5 star reviews, if any and see what they say!
Some advice also, sorry for rambling here, but I bought an external power bank some time last year. The claim to fame was 20,000 MAH, nice right? Not! I was home last summer, and it was around 2:30 one night, I looked at the lights to determine battery status. I could smell something, and the USB ports got burning hot,and when I shook the bank, something was rattling inside. I then had one of my uncles look at it and he said it looked fine but something was rattling inside of it. So sent it back to amazon, and got a refund. Luckily the power bank was $20 or so
I was tempted to say screw this and throw the stupid thing over the hill last summer when it got hot, to see what would happen, but thank goodness I didn't, lol!!
Anyway, Hope this can help you, and please, be sure to look at the reviews like you do, and try not to buy to inexpensive of a battery case, or whatever you choose to do.
HTH and good luck!

I guess I should report quickly.

I bought a good-quality leather case without credit card slots and with a magnet that is weak so it cannot 'harm' any bank cards or the like.

As far as battery cases are concerned, it seems it's not really necessary. For the last few days, I have used the phone a lot, downloading new apps, exploring iOS 9, adjusting the settings, reading novels with a Braille display, and so on, but the battery has never gone below 45 per cent, despite many hours of use.
The phone is really quite big and heavy already - for me at least :-) . So it might be too impractical with a battery case.

So, since this question has been asked before, I'd say that, if you want to use your phone a lot, or use a Braille display, for example, the 6s Plus might be a better option than the 6s. The battery seems to be efficient/powerful, so it can be used without a case.

Thanks to all the 'Experts' for their advice, suggestions, comments, and ideas.

I'm hoping that someone might find this thread helpful sometime.
