Does the iPhone 5c have TouchID?

Hello,
I found a certified preowned iphone 5c on Verizon's website for $10 a month for 24 months. I am strongly considering this since it is half the cost of a new one. However, I was wondering if the 5c has touch Id. This is a very important feature for me. If the 5c does not have the fingerprint scanner, I will probably get an Se. The phone is directly from Verizon, so it has been inspected.

That is a locked iPhone. You are describing that the iPhone has an activation lock. I recommend contacting the previous owner of the iPhone before you order it. They need to unlock the iPhone as well as erase all their data. No, the iPhone 5C doesn't have touch Id. So, if you want an iPhone that has the touch Id, I would recommend the iPhone SE. Remember that when you get the iPhone SE, it should not be sold by the previous owner on Verizon. The previous owner would have to erase all their data.

Hello,

If you want touch ID, you will need to get an iPhone 5S. The 5C does not have touch ID. The hardware on the 5S is also better than the 5C.

The advantage of buying the phone from Verizon is paying a monthy in addition to having some type of warranty and support should you need it. But if you shop around, you may find a Verizon 5S for a lower price used and you will not be forced into a contract. If you can wait until September, you might be able to get a better deal on iPhone 6 and 7 or possibliy a free iPhone 8.

HTH and good luck.

Are you sure the 5S has touch i.d.? To the best of my knowledge my phone is a 5S but I don't see anything in settings for touch i.d. If the 5S has it then I must not have a 5S.

Hi,
As a previous iPhone 5S owner, i can tell you that it does indeed have touchId. you either have an iPhone 5, or the 5C, which I doubt. There is a button in settings called passcode and touchID or something like that. The iPhone SE is just a glorified iPhone 5S with some updated internals. I'd say go for the 6 if you can afford it.

Hello,
I've held a 6s and personally it's a bit too big for me. The 6s does not fit in my coat pocket and sticks out about half an inch. That's why I am leaning toward the Se. The 6s I held was not a plus model either.

It sounds like you know what you want I'd go with your gut.
