Hi all,

I am running IOS 12.4 on my IOS6 & i am facing a challenge with the brightness of my phone. Even when i keep my phone in the low power mode all the time, still the brightness of the phone jumps up to 46% or some such very high number. I would like to know, how can i keep it to a near 0 value. Please help as it is a very big drain on the battery.

Turn off automatic brightness in the respective settings page.

I would request you to give me an extensive directions in this regard. I could not achieve it on my own when I messed up with a few settings in the past.

Go to Settings/General/Accessibility/Display Accommodations/AutoBrightness and switch it off

I had turned it off initially, but my phone kept playing nonsense with brightness going all the way up to any number. Now i have turned on auto-brightness yet again. I really hope, it behaves.... Thank you for all the help. I would get back yet again if the need be.

Hi. If you want your phone to save battery I'd enable screen curtain. Put three fingers together and tap them twice, on the screen. You should hear "Screen curtain On." That's all you have to do. Then if you need sighted help, use the same gesture, three fingers tapped twice, to reverse the setting. Hope that helps. It might drain the batter for the minute you need someone to look at your phone.
