Hi all, I'm thinking about upgrading my phone from an eight to either the latest SE model or the iPhone 12 mini. Like most of us on this site, I do not need or want the fancy camera stuff. So my question is would the better phone be the latest SE or the iPhone Mini? Thanks all in advance for advice and recommendations.

Re: comparison of Apple's smaller new phones
Hello:
Well, a major decision point is whether or not you want or need a home button. The SE2020 has a home button and the 12 Mini does not. Personally, I have not had a phone with ahome button for quite some time and don't miss it at all. The 12 Mini also has a slightly faster processor. My recommendation would be to jump into the future and get the 12 Mini, but it is really up to you. the SE2020 is a good phone and a lot of people are happy with it.
Hope this helps.

iPhone 12 mini
Well if you want slightly better battery, if you don't care a bout home button, if you want a bit faster phone, then go with iPhone 12 mini
I chose the SE
Hi! I had to buy a new iPhone very quickly in the spring of 2020, as the battery of my old iPhone 6 had almost given up working, and I didn't want a big iPhone. The iPhone 12 Mini didn't exist this time last year, so I bought the iPhone SE 2020, which still has both the Home button and Touch ID: however, if you want a more modern iPhone with Face ID and no Home button, I'm sure the iPhone 12 Mini is good too, even though I have never used it. At least we still have a choice of small iPhones in these days when so many people buy the big ones!
If I could afford it, I'd go…
If I could afford it, I'd go for the 12 Mini for the precision finding.
Thanks all and reply to Jo Billard.
Thanks all for your help. I will go for the Mini. Because, some friends of mine recently upgraded and got quite a bit of money from their older phones. So will give it a try.
