Using NLS EReader with Apple TV

Braille on Apple Products

I wasn't sure if I should post this under the Apple TV specific forum or under this Braille specific forum; I guess both are equally valid. Anyway, I would love to use my NLS EReader on the Apple TV in my living room. It's the newest model of Apple TV; think it came out last year. In any case, it has the latest TV os installed, but no matter what I do, I can't get a Braille display to connect to it. I've tried both my Brailliant 40 which normally just lives on my computer, and also the NLS EReader which is essentially the same as a brailliant 20 minus the note-taking functions, but no matter what, the two devices won't play nice. I remember someone saying at one point that there needed to be some sort of change in drivers; not sure if they meant on Apple's end or Humanware's, but either way, the comment was actually made shortly before tvOS 16 was released. Nothing ever happened, but I got my hopes up again when tvOS 17 was released. Unfortunately, I still can't get anything to happen. I would love to have Braille on the Apple TV for subtitles, or even just reading those stupid codes we have to enter from time to time to set up new apps. Has anyone ever had any luck getting a Humanware Braille Display to work on an Apple TV? If so, I would really appreciate any suggestions you may have.
