Reading bookx with Kindle app in braille

This morning, I tried to read a Kindle book using a braille display. I opened the book in the Kindle app in my iPhone. My braille display is a Brailliant bi40x. Things worked as expected. I could read each braille line using the front panel controls of the braille display, and when I reached the end of a page, I could scroll to the next.

The only problem stems from a recent change in either VoiceOver or the Kindle app. It used to be the case that, when I scrolled to a new page, VoiceOver would read the entire page, and this would make all its contents available for me to read with the braille display. But it no longer works this way. It only reads the first displayed paragraph, or part of a paragraph, and stops. Consequently, the braille on my display doesn't let me read the entire page.

I'm fairly certain I've seen discussion of this change, but didn't realize how it might impact reading with braille until I tried it just now. What's the current status? Does anyone know if this is a Kindle or VoiceOver issue? Has it been reported? Status? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I can tell, this issue is still ongoing, both for VoiceOver, and braille users. I fairly certain it's a Kindle thing. 🙁

I've sacked it off, just get epubs from a less reputable source and read them in the books app which works well with voiceover, though the quality of the EPub is important.
