Braille on Apple Products

Hi all,

I am having a devil of a time trying to figure out how to make the @ symbol using Braille Screen input on my iPhone. I would appreciate any help from someone who has mastered this.
Best,
Mike

Hi, You can do this by typing dot 4 followed by dot 1. I hope this helps. :)

Hi,

I've tried that and it doesn't work. I have my Braille Sense U2 set to us English braille not UEB. What other options do you have? I've also tried the backspace key which is dot seven and dot 4. Do I need to have input or output set to eight dot? If so how do I do this? I'm using an Iphone 6 and have IOS 8.4. My Braille Sense U2 is a perkins style keyboard.

Hi,

I just found out on another list that you have to change your input to eight dot braille. If you have IOS 8 you do this by pressing dots 2-3-6 with the space bar and changing it to eight dot mode. Once that is done, to do the @ sign, you press the back space key which is dot sevenand the dot 4 key. Putting it in eight dot mode means you'll be writing in computer braille so the period is dots 4 and 6 and the capital sign is either a u chord or the dot seven and a comma is dot 6. Hope this helps.
