Most of the time it works really well, the best and easiest way to type on IOS in my opinion. There's a little problem with text messages but hopefully it'll be resolved soon.
Hi there Zoe, I really appreciate your reply. I currently use a iPhone 8 and use the braille screen input a lot. My husband recently got the iPhone xr and I played around with it. It seems that I struggle more with the braille screen input on the XR, But just as long as I know it works I will keep on practicing. It might be because the screen is much bigger. I am so glad you replied because I don’t want to get another phone before I know the braille screen input works on it. 2
I use Braille screen input all the time. It took me a little while to get used to with the bigger screen since I was coming from an SE. Sometimes I find that I have to recalibrate the dot positions because it doesn't always recognize them all. I also find that sometimes I have to put my fingers closer to the top and bottom edges of the phone which doesn't work well in the messages app because it triggers the proximity sensor, so the phone thinks I've raised it to my ear to record a voice message. You will get better the more you practice. Another cool tip: if you're writing with Braille screen input in messages, you can just 3 finger flick down to send it. No need to rotor out of it and double tap the send button. Awesome!
Hi there Brian, thank you very much for responding. I really appreciate. Just as long as I know it work well I am happy. Thanks also for the nice tip. I will remember that.
