mBraille from an iPad

Just wondering if anyone uses mBraille from their iPad or iPad Mini, and if so, what your results are. Using mBraille with my iPhone, I'm able to type quickly and accurately, to the point of it being my primary app for text entry on my phone. But I'm struggling a bit using it with the iPad. As I'm typing, every few letters, it seems to make what sounds like a double click, two letters entered at almost the exact same time... the one I meant to type and then some random symbol. It almost seems as if it's registering two separate keyboard presses at the same time. I've tried positioning my hands higher or lower on the iPad, thinking that would make a difference; but so far, no luck. It slows down typing significantly, because I'm always having to swipe back to delete the extra character I didn't mean to type.

Brook, I have been noticing the same thing with my iPad II.

The only thing I can suggest is to make sure that multitasking jesters are turned off, and other than that, to make sure to type slowly.

Hopefully in a future update, or in IOS 8, this issue goes away.

Up until a few months ago, I loved MBraille on the iPad.

that it's not just me. It slows me down to the point where I don't use the app on my iPad, but I'm keeping it in the hopes that either an update to mBraille, or an iOS update, might fix the issue.

Hi all
I've found the mBraille email list to be really helpful. I'd mention this on there. I don't like typing on the iPad either because my hands don't quite line up with the keys The address for the email group is mbraille@lists.mpaja.com
