iOS 13.2: Some braille contractions no longer contracting

Hello everyone. I just updated to IOS 13.2, and despite Facebook, Safari web pages and various other apps not supporting dark mode yet, I like it. I've been noticing while using braille screen input that various contractions, such as joining 2-3-5 as to to a word, and dot 6 Y and 5-6 N do not work anymore. Also using dots 3-6 for COM at the beginning of a word, and 3-4-5-6 for able anywhere at all don't work. I thought it was this new fangled UEB I keep hearing about, but Standard grade 2 is what is selected in my braille screen input keyboard list. Is braille screen input just broken, or am I missing something glaringly obvious?

Since UEB is now supposed to be the standard Braille system in the US, iOS 13.2 has that Braille table selected by default. Go to settings > accessibility > Voiceover > Braille > Braille tables to change it back to English US.

Thanks a lot. That completely fixed it. Stupid UEB over-complicating things (grumble grumble.

UEB takes some getting used to especially for people like me who grew up on regular Grade 2 US braille. I do think it has some valid new symbols, but it certainly does take practice. The National Braille Press used to offer a free braille reference guide for UEB if you wanted to go check their website.

I appreciate it. I don't use braille a whole lot, but I suppose it would be of worth to at least learn what's changed. I've sort of been putting it off.
