iOS 11 Braille Translator Hickups

Braille on Apple Products

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has the same issues.

Using iOS 11, US English, contracted grade 2 braille, the translator seems to be jumbling up words when typing quickly.

In addition, when deleting a word, and typing something new instead, then flicking right, then left again seems to insert letters or symbols, for example the letter A or an 'at' sign.

Chords in general do not always work, it's not detecting the space bar. This had worked perfectly on iOS 10 before.

I would be grateful for any help you might provide to fix this, or for an alternate solution until Apple fixes these, if they indeed need fixing.

My personal thoughts is that for some reason if you are a fast typer, and I assume that you are, using braille, the translator can't keep up. Especially when you swipe to the right very quickly, a lot of times it doesn't register as a swipe. I am curious but are you using the UEB braille or the old standard Grade 2 braille? I don't know if it matters, but I use the UEB and still have those problems. I don't find it is as bad in 11.4 as it was when 11 first came out, but there is still room for improvement.
