How to keep certain symbols changing with braille screen input

Hello all!

I have a couple questions about BSI. and certain symbols changing and how to keep a letter from being capitalized when it shouldn't ;. Specifically I'm talking about email addresses. Here's what happens.
I'm trying to type my email address in using BSI. until I feel more comfortable with it, and I have a pretty good idea on where the keys are before I start entering passwords. So, I'm starting with my email address. Also, because it takes a while to type using the keyboard. The 2 issues I'm running into are
1. The at sign changes to a percent sign when ever i put the email provider at the end of the email address. So, for example, if I wanted to write
jsmith96atgmail.com
this is how it comes out.
jsmithbleif,percentsignGmail.com
This happens in username fields and other fields like password recovery fields where you have to put in your email address.

2. The letter of the email provcider is getting capitalized. And if I delete it and try and put it in again, it does the same thing. So I just switch back to the regular keyboard to type the rest of it out.
My questions are
How do I stop this from happening?

Lately I've been writing my email address until the @ sign then switching to regular keyboard and typing the rest.

Also, how can you type punctuation emojis? Every time I try typing a colon it comes out con or if I type a colon and parenthesises it comes out ccwere or gg.
Do I need to add another braille table? And if so, which one? I use contracted braille for my input and 6 dot for my outpkut. Any help is very much appreciated. Because these little things have been driving me nuts.
