How do I use the Pages app and the Notes app with a braille display? How do I begin just typing? When I tried it, I found out through a sighted friend that there is a plus sign that VoiceOver isn't picking up on. I want to use these apps for job h hunting. I am using an iPad with a Focus 14 blue braille display with the latest version of IOS 10. Also, how do you convert Pages documents to Word documents?

There should be a "create new document" button (Pages) and an "add" button (Notes) in the top right corner of the screen that VoiceOver should read. You can get to them by pushing your right nav rocker down to act like a flick right, and then press the button above it to activate it. That's the easiest way I've found to open a new document to type in. Another trick I've found is you can move between containers with a 1-7 or a 4-7 chord. These are different parts of the app interface. In the case of Pages, it'll move you between the back button and the content of your document.

Not sure how to convert to a word file in iOS; I might have to look into that.

Good luck with the job hunt. I'm right there in it with ya!
