Handwriting interupting Braille onscreen input

Braille on Apple Products

Good evening,
I have recently changed to an iPhone 6s+ and have begun to use the onscreen Braille input, which I'm finding amazing!
However, I have two issues I'm hoping someone can help me with:
Firstly, I can get the Braille keyboard to be the correct way round, only with the home button to the left (when in landscape mode). Is it possible to "flip" this in some way so the home button is to the right?
Secondly, when I move via the rota to Braille input, and get ready to Braille on the screen, I am interrupted by voiceover saying handwriting, and there is no Braille keyboard present.
If anyone has experienced similar scenarios to this, I would love to know if you have a work around, or advice on what I am doing wrong.
Many thanks
David

I think this is a bug on iOS 10. I'm sure it will fixed on iOS 10.2

Hi, I experienced the same problem in the iMessage app with orientation unlocked. Locking orientation solved the problem.
Cheers

Hi! It's possible, when VoiceOver suddenly says handwriting and you can't use BSI any more, that you have accidentally turned your rotor to Handwriting. I don't have Handwriting in my rotor, but I have sometimes somehow accidentally done the rotor gesture instead of brailling something as I intended to. So I suggest you do what i do in such cases, go through your rotor, in whichever direction you think necessary, till you land on Braille Screen Input again, then brailling on the iPhone screen should work again as normal.

I too experience this bug, but as a user above suggested, locking orientation low and behold does fix it. I can live with this, as orientation lock is in control center, and if I need to show someone something in landscape mode, I can go in and switch it to make that possible.

As for the person who suggested that perhaps someone was in the wrong rotor setting, good call, but I don't even have handwriting in my rotor, (I removed it as an option), and the bug still persisted, especially in iMessage.
