Braille on Apple Products

Hello! I am a new user here so I apologize if I post in the wrong area, but need some guidance with Braille screen input. My Braille screen input isn't aligning the dots correctly. sometimes the 2 dot is larger than others,At other times the dots just don't align properly. calibrating them fixes the issue for a short time but then it goes back to doing the same thing.

I have tried to restart the phone, I have not tried to factory reset the phone but that seems too drastic for me. Does anyone have any tips for me?

Hi,
What I do is spread my fingers twoards either end of the device. Don't have them so close together, otherwise the dots will not work properly. The dots are at either end of the screen, dots 12 and 3 are at the left end for me, and the 4/5/6 are at the right end, towards the earpiece.
HTH, nad good luck.

Okay that seemed to work for screen away mode. Tabletop mode is still giving me problems . My instruvtor at my rehab school tells me that screen away mode is generally what's used by the blind and visually impaired community. I huess I'll stick to screen away mide from now on until Apple maybe fixes the issue.

I solve the tabletop method by putting my fingers in a V-shape with the point of the V pointing toward me.

Good. I'd lock your orientation at screen away once you get it there. I think you slide 3 fingers on the screen to do it. I've rarely messed with it once I fixed the issues.

I use table top, because hand strain issues make it difficult to hold the phone. I actually have a XR to make this even easier. You'll want to get into the habit of calibrating as soon as you rotoring into braille screen, and before beginning to type. I don't even think about doing it anymore. I did lock the phone into table mode for myself.

I just tried to use Braille screen input but can't remember the commands to set my Grade of Braille or do anything else. Is there a section of the VoiceOver manual about Braille screen input?
