Braille command question with new version of iOS

Hello to all Braille users.
I am trying to work around an issue I discovered following the recent update. Here is what I find:

1. Enter the messages app (this may occur in other apps, but I find it useful in that one).
2. Write some text using a Braille display (mine is a focus 40 fifth generation).
3. Attempt to press the command to input a carriage return, which used to be dots 3-7 and then dot 8.
4. You now find it does not work.
I have tried to find a way to remap those keys but so far have not been successful.

Thanks for any help.

Hmm. I'm not experiencing this on a Brailliant BI 20X. I tried with my iPhone SE 2020 and was able to insert several carrige returns. I'll give it a shot next time I'm near a Focus. I assume you restarted the iPhone and restarted VO with no change?

Hi,
Iā€˜m experiencing this issue too with my Focus 40 5th gen. When I open up a conversation in Messages and write something into the text field and then press Dot 3-7 CHORD followed by Dot 8 CHORD, VoiceOver only selects all of the content within the message text field and shows some options for the selected text. Until now, I have not found a workaround for that. I think that we just can hope that this gets fixed soon.

At work I use also a Focus 14 40 Braille Display and the following also works on the BrailleOne 20 Safari:
Make sure Option key is turned on by pressing Dots 8 and 2 plus the Space. First press the Options shortcut keys: Dots 2 7 plus Space. Then press Enter (Dot 8.)

Hi HEXAGON. You may be struggling with this one because you either miswrote what you are using or you may be using the wrong command. TO emulate the Option key, you need to press space with 2-7. Space with 3-7 emulates the control key. I hope this helps.
