Assistance with characters in BSI on iOS

Braille on Apple Products
Hi, Since the release of iOS 18, I have almost replaced the on-screen keyboard in iOS with Braille Screen Input. However, there are some symbols and characters I have to use the on-screen keyboard for, and I'd like to use BSI full time. The way you'd normally type these symbols in Braille doesn't seem to work. Note: I'm using the UK Contracted braille table.
  • The Plus sign (+)
  • The minus sign (−)
  • The times sign (×)
  • The divide by sign (÷)
  • The hashtag
  • The asterisk (*)
Note: I know that the math symbols have substitutions like X for times, / for divide by etc, but I always prefer to use official symbols. Thanks in advance.

I'd probably look into shifting to universal. I think the issue might be that using maths brail is it's own beast, as is music, scientific etc, which the UK english brail table doesn't support.

Alternatively, if you have a brail display you can connect to your device, and set it to UK english brail on the iPhone, you can reverse engineer it, so type out all the symbols you need and it will express them as the brail you need to use on the way in.
