Seleste glasses billing issue experience

I am sharing this in case there are others on this list who had financial transactions with Seleste for their smart glasses product and related subscriptions.
I noticed recently that Seleste Smart Glasses had incorrectly billed my credit card for a monthly subscription for the months of March and April 2025. I had returned the glasses to them and received a full refund under the warranty in April 2024 for a one-year subscription that I paid for. This was supposed to be a one-time transaction, and I had no outstanding balance with Seleste. My credit card should not be charged monthly for their products or services since I no longer have their product.
I contacted Seleste by both email and text last week to refund my credit card for the full amount billed, and to stop billing my credit card immediately. I have not yet heard back from them. I have also had to go through the inconvenience of contacting my bank and opening a transaction dispute case. I may also have to change my credit card to stop the unauthorized recurring billing from Seleste, because the bank cannot immediately block a merchant from billing a credit card until a dispute case has been resolved.
I am posting my experience here so that any previous Seleste subscribers like myself can monitor there credit cards for incorrect charges from the company.
There is an increase in the number of AI related assistive technologies in the blind low vision market, all promising many different quality of life improvements. The reality is that many of these small companies are well intentioned, but often do not have the capital to last as sustainable businesses. This is a cautionary tale and a good example of that.

If you go to their website it says, we've decided to discontinue the glasses, thank you for everyone who believed in us, or something like that.

I've not trusted Seleste ever since i pre ordered their glasses. oh I got a refund and they haven't tried to make me pay monthly or anything like that but, as the glasses were shipping to me; I got an email asking if I'd be willing to ship another pair to someone else in the UK and they'd pay for the shipping costs. That is a huge and i mean huge no no, that's not my job and it is not on me that they messed up in whatever way it was.

I get the glasses and if I remember correctly; only one arm had a speaker and I couldn't even use the thing because the app wasn't availible on the app store/play store.

As you say; I think these small companies mean well but it's small things like asking if i could ship another pair of glasses that really make me not trust them to do that again.

I did get an email back after I emailed them explaining that that isn't my job saying that they understood and I hope for their sake that they do.
