Hi AppleVis community,
We are researchers at the College of William & Mary conducting a study on how blind and low-vision individuals experience Generative AI-powered smart glasses in everyday life. These are wearable glasses that can answer open-ended questions in natural language, describe scenes, read text, and identify objects, similar to talking with an AI assistant. We are interested in hearing from both current users and those who have not used these devices.
This study is open to anyone who is blind or low-vision, aged 18 or older, English proficient, and located anywhere in the world.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes and covers basic demographic information and device usage. If you have not used smart glasses, we also want to hear from you; for example, your reasons for non-adoption.
All survey completers are entered into a draw for one of three $50 gift cards. If you opt into a 30- to 45-minute follow-up interview, you will receive a $30 gift card upon completion.
This study has been approved by the William & Mary Institutional Review Board, and this post has been approved by the AppleVis editorial team.
