Good morning,
I'm in a bit of a predicament.
I’m in the process of learning Spanish.
I've added Spanish as a secondary language profile, but now, I'm stuck in it & can't even enter my pin to access my device because it wants Spanish computer
Braille numbers & I don't know how to type them.
I've tried several times to get my unit to initialize using the 'forward media button + the power button" but it hasn't worked.
how do I properly execute this command?
I work today & sometimes take notes during my shift.

Hello,
Try entering numbers from the Computer Braille Code, without the braille number sign. Numbers are written in computer braille as follows:
1: dot 2
2: dots 2-3
3: dots 2-5
4: dots 2-5-6
5: dots 2-6
6: dots 2-3-5
7: dots 2-3-5-6
8: dots 2-3-6
9: dots 3-5
0: dots 3-5-6
I hope this helps.

Have a wonderful lady friend who got the mini sense, she is learning to use the machine. Do they have an group list email?

Hi,
Yes, there is a very active, helpful group on groups.io.
To subscribe, send an email to Hims-notetakers-chat+subscribe@groups.io & reply to the email you’ll get.
There are also Facebook groups. I’m on the list & in a few Facebook groups.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
I forgot to update you guys on the password predicament. I was able to fix it by entering my pin, using a USB keyboard. I have no idea why, but the braille sense refused to take input from the Perkins style keyboard. Once I connected a USB keyboard, entered my pin, and removed it, all is well. I may try setting another pin though, because I do not want my data to end up in the wrong hands.

If that normal behavior of the machine? If not, suggest you call them and see what they say. Maybe broken in some way or something is wrong. If you did not had that, what would you had done.

How do you close apps in the mini sense?

By TJT 2001 on Sunday, June 2, 2024 - 09:28

press Space-Z.

By Holger Fiallo on Sunday, June 2, 2024 - 09:28

Is that for closing apps? When I did a google search, it stated space d or f3 and tab to close all apps.

Yes, Space-Z is used to close apps. You could have verified it by consulting the user manual I provided you a link to previously.

According to Pamela from support, to close an app, do f1 and f4 at the same time, space d. To close all apps, enter space d.

You asked a question, I answered it, and you insist on disagreeing based on your own research. If you had intended to do your own research, why ask the question in the first place? Did you even bother to test the keystroke I informed you of?

The keystroke I suggested is the functional equivalent of pressing Alt-F4 on Windows. The keystrokes you've mentioned are like opening the Windows Task Manager and closing apps from there.
