recommendations for a good iPhone16 case? otterbox really messed their design up

Good morning,

Can anyone recommend a good case for the iPhone16? I've always used otterbox and even have one on my phone now but I'm very disappointed on what they did to their iPhone16 cases. First of all that big chunk they took out where the new camera button is? There's no reason why they couldn't have made a cover button for that just like they have on the other buttons. Since that button is now exposed one drop on that side of the phone you are probably done for. You also now have to purchase your own screen protector as their cases starting with the 16 no longer come with one. I've also have noticed that sometimes the top and bottom corners will slide up from the case and I have to push them back down. This tells me my phone is really not protected. Does anyone have an iPhone16 case they really feel does a good job protecting their device?
Thanks

Check youtube videos on cases for iPhone 16 and up. Do a search on youtube with Flossy Carter iPhone 16 cases.

The best iPhone cases are made by Spigen

"Best" is subjective. I don't think you can get a really good idea of whether or not a phone case will work for you or if you will like it based off a YouTube review. IMO, some things like cases are things you have to get your hands on. I got a Logitech BT keyboard a couple years ago based on rave reviews here, and ended up hating it. I could only use it for a few minutes at a time.

Can you go to a store and see if they will let you check out some cases first? That's how I ended up going with Apple's own cases. I find that a lot of the third party ones are either too bulky (Otterbox), and/or the buttons are too hard to press.

I don't have a 16, but you could try looking for info on third party cases that cover the new camera button. I don't think they all do.

@holgar I love Flossy. A lot of his shtick is pretty funny, like when he says he promises not to sing, then proceeds to sing as loud as he can! lol

For protection, try the ESR cases, dropped my phone at least 20 times, still in mint condition. More specifically, try the armor tough case.

Agree but he does a great job of reviewing them. At the end of the day the person has to make a choice.

I've got very clumsy fingers. I drop my iPhone 15 pro several times a day, and at least 3 times a week I send it flying across the room. No screen protector, and no cracked screen.. All buttons are covered with press-through caps which do require more effort than naked buttons, but still doable with my arthritic fingers. Doesn't protect USB port like otterbox. I couldn't find a description of how it handles the camera button, though.

$50.
