Just ordered the AirPods Max 2! Looking for your thoughts and wired audio experiences

Hi everyone,

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the new AirPods Max 2 from the newly opened Saudi Arabia Apple Online Store! It was actually my first time ordering from the new store, and the experience was super smooth. We've been waiting for this moment for a long time.

I’ve been watching and reading a ton of reviews, and what really got me hyped are the new drivers and the stronger ANC. I can't wait to test out Spatial Audio and compare it to my AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C). I keep hearing that Spatial Audio on the Max is in a completely different league.

But before they arrive, I wanted to ask about your experiences. How did you guys find the original AirPods Max? Is anyone planning to upgrade to the new model? Or if you've already received your AirPods Max 2, what are your first impressions?

I’m also really excited to try them wired for lossless audio and ultra-low latency. Has anyone tested this out yet? Also, how do the AirPods Max 2 perform when wired to non-Apple systems (like Windows)? Do they still deliver the same audio quality as they do within the Apple ecosystem?

Hello.

First, congratulations on the acquisition of the Airpods Max 2 when they arrive! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy my original Airpods Max! They are the best over-ear headphones ever in my experience in terms of both sound and build quality. I've had mine since August 2025, and I love them! As for wired audio, I cannot say for sure, however they do seem more responsive compared to wireless. This was tested on an iPhone 16+ using one of many USB-C cables I have lying around the property.
