Hello all:
i have a moderate hearing loss, and i was waiting this big improvement to make my Airpods 2 can get this great update to become a hearing aid,
but i discovered that, my country “Egypt” is not listed there,
am very frustrated and do not know what can i do? i contacted apple 2 or 3 times, asking them to enable this feature even for people who suffers from hearing aid problems, even if the country is not listed, but for sure, they did not do this.
so, is there a way or a trick to get this update?
Thanks in advance

Wait, or Go See an Audiologist
I guess you have two choices... wait for Apple to enable the feature in your country, or go see an Audiologist to get hearing aids.
Ramy,
Apple might not be able to add it. It was needed to be aprove by FDA in the US. Change your language to US English. It might show them.
As far as I know, it's only…
As far as I know, it's only in US and Canada so the majority of the world haven't got it.
a stopgap might be using headphone accommodations, settings > accessibility > Audio and visual > ... Where you can turn on custom transparency. You can also use an app like Mimi to do an audiogram which can adapt audio from the phone. I don't think it applies to the transparency mode though.
In transparency you can change the amplitude and colour of the sound as well as balance. It's going to be a bit of a try it and see, but it might serve in the meantime.
hoping airpods pro II transparency mode starts working again
Ever since iOS 18, my airpods have not honored transparency mode at all. They used to work great as back-up hearing aids, but now, it almost seems like they're in noise cancellation mode all the time, even when I make sure transparency mode is enabled, as well as custom transparency mode being enabled. I can play movies or music through them just fine for the most part, but the main thing I liked about them was how perfectly transparency mode worked for me. Now that the airpods pro II have been certified as hearing aids here in the states, I'm really hoping that whatever was wrong has been fixed. I've got the airpods plugged in now, hoping they will get a firmware update. Life has been a bit to hectic for me to jump on here and ask if anyone else was having issues with transparency mode before now, but if anyone knows whether or not things have been fixed, I'd really appreciate it if they could share that info here.
I don't get it...
Ok, it is understandable for hearing-aide feature to be unavailable at this time; but what about hearing test? I just would love to test my hearing. Did they have to get a certification from every single country for a test? Rediculous!
Re transparency mode, I…
Re transparency mode, I think the lightning APP 2 seem to be effected. I think a full reset and re pair can help. I've seen a few complaints over on the apple reddit about this.
Regarding hearing test, I agree, I'd like this to come to the UK though I'm guessing that, to make sure it is a true hearing test, it has to be signed off by the country to say it is in line with any other professional hearing test. Apple will be wanting this done sooner rather than later as it will drive sales of a fairly old product.
UMy airpods are USBC
My airpods pro II are the USBC model. After yesterday's update, things seem to be working better.I enabled the hearing aid feature, which was a bit more complicated than I expected, but it's using my most recent audiogram, which, thankfully, was already in the health app. The airpods disconnected and reconnected to my Apple TV several times for no discernable reason, but apart from that, I'm more or less satisfied that things are back to normal, whatever that is. LOL!
Is that the hearing aid…
Is that the hearing aid function or headphone accommodations? I thought the hearing aid function creates its own audiogram. If you're applying a previous one, I'm thinking it's headphone accommodations rather than the hearing health that has just been introduced?
LIke most of. the new developments for apple IOS, the rest of the world has missed out on features, even if we pay the same for products. Hopefully that will change soon though.
guys, set your region to the…
guys, set your region to the united states, simple as that, you get access to everything, apple intelligence, hearingade, all the good stuff'
Yeah, but you also get the…
Yeah, but you also get the wrong spelling and punctuation of the writing tools... :)
Jokes, it's fine. 15.2, what I have on my mac, can be set to UK English, and as that is where I do my writing, it's all good.
Thanks for the tip.
Honestly…, Meow meow here,…
Honestly…, Meow meow here, by the way, just changed my display name, anyway,… I’d set it to the US regardless, because some apps region lock content to specific regions, and this is a very easy way to get past some of those without using a VPN/similar, for instance, I believe at one point in time, Google Assistant had celebrity voices, unfortunately, they were region locked to the US, sure enough, switching the region got me access to the John Legend voice and others.
Interesting
I'd already done this and was going to post it but decided not to as I didn't think the mods would allow it.
As far as I can tell, you…
As far as I can tell, you don't get the hearing health features though you do get apple intelligence.
No, hearing health is…
No, hearing health is absolutely there
audiologist
for sure i have my hearing audio gram, and am using my Phonak hearing aids, but i need a backup thinggy to help me,
also, i love listening to music or anything using my Airpods,
apple intelegence will not be here forever
I have Iphone 13 pro max, so, it will not get any AI at all i think.
BTW, i think that this Hearing aid feature is not related to the apple AI at all
Well, changing region,…
Well, changing region, language here in the UK and even using a VPN, has not brought hearing health up in the AirPod settings. I'll have another play later and do some research over on the reddit.
