Hi everyone,
A couple of weeks ago, I posted about VoiceOver bugs I found in iOS 17, further to that I thought I would tell you about my experience with the betas in general and ask for your feedback.
First, I think it’s very important that Apple has made the betas available for free to everyone, the more people that have access, the more bugs that get found before official release.
So here goes, first I’ll start with my experience of iOS/iPadOS 17 beta 1:
For me they have both been really stable, I’ve had a few bugs, things taking a while to load or hanging/lagging out a bit. I’ve also had the crossfade bug, but I did manage to enable it first.
Battery life for me has been as good as iOS 16 if no better.
I am also using it on my 13 pro max, and it feels fast and responsive. The iPadOS beta (on my M1 iPad Pro 12.9 also feels responsive, although I have used it less than iOS due to being out a lot at the moment. I am using a USB keyboard with my iPad through a usb connector and it seems to be working fine.
I have had the voiceover bugs I listed in my post from before and 1 or 2 more such as being unable to send when using braille screen input. I also noticed it exits out and goes back to the previous setting.
I also have watchOS 10, but don’t have much info to give on that, it seems really stable and I haven’t had any bugs.
I will write about my experience with macOS separately as I’ve come across a major bug lately.
Let me know how your experiences with the betas have been.

Apple Beta Releases
Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms
Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.
If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

My general experiences
Hi,
Here's my general experiences. first, it's a very stable release on both MacOS and iOS. I'm running both betas on my M1 MacBook Pro, and my iPhone 11. General performance is great. Battery life is good as well. yes, they are bugs, but it's normal, just like every beta release, they come and go, but the more bugs that are sent in using feedback assistant, the better they get resolved. I have already sent in 1 bug, and I hope others have sent in bugs as well. still, very stable. VoiceOver performance is normal.
report report report
If you aren't going to report don't run the betas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've reported bugs. The more that are reported the quicker it can be fixed and the better the final release will be.
I doubt that reporting the bugs do help
I haven't tested iOS 17 beta but been a beta tester since iOS 8 or 9 was launched. I've been reporting bugs and suggestions ever since, but got no response whatsoever. Some Turkish mistranslations were corrected after I reported them but nothing in terms of accessibility. And this is why I don't really feel like installing future betas.
My beta experience
On the whole for a beta 1, iOS has been buggy. VoiceOver crashing, and restarting has been almost constant. Assistive access appears to be working, the setup, haven’t actually tried it completely. Focus in the personal voice settings is everywhere.
