iPhone restarting on it's own after iOS 18.2 and 18.3 beta updates

Apple Beta Releases

Hi all,

Happy holidays!.
I have encountered a frustrating issue after installing the 18.2 and 18.3 betas. I don't know if it's a software issue or if it is something related to the 15 series models. I have been noticing that my iPhone 15 Pro Max automatically restarts during the day. It's still a new phone. Battery health is still fine 100% battery capacity. Can anyone else help me fix this issue?

Thanks,
Ayub

I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max and I am experiencing the same problem.

Are you both on the iOS 18.3 beta? Was this happening before the beta installation? My advice would be, and you're probably not going to like it, but uninstall iOS 18.3, manually reboot your phone, and see how it goes. Maybe wait a day or two before you reinstall the 18.3 beta.

I'm thinking that it's probably a bug with 18.3 with a newer iPhones.

HTH.

??? Not experiencing this on my 14. But you mean restoring from backup rather right?

I mean whatever it takes to go from beta iOS 18.3, to public release iOS 18.2. If that's restored from a backup, then sure, why not?

I have not had a single issue with 18.2 betas and 18.3 today. before you go erasing stuff on your phone, I would also recommend (again, you might not like this) resetting all settings. May work, may not. Only time will tell if it does.
