Apple Beta Releases

Good afternoon,
This post is to inform everyone that iOS 18.1 beta 6 & all other related updates, such as those for WatchOS, iPadOS, macOS, TVOS, & VisionOS (if applicable) are out.
I'm happy to say that as of this beta, notifications now appear as they should. In beta 5, something broke where Voiceover was reading them, but they were not appearing at the top of the screen. Also, the announcement of Voiceover being turned off is fixed. In addition, I also just discovered that writing suggestions can be accessed via the rotor. I think that’s a really cool addition. Please feel free to post your findings in the comments.

Your Feedback is Important to Improving Accessibility on Apple platforms

Don't assume that Apple is aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference - submitting bug reports directly to the company helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. Your report may provide crucial information. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority they give to fixing the bug.

If you're using a beta version, use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you're using a public release, follow the instructions on this page.

Hi everyone. Has anyone been able to successfully use Apple intelligence in the messages app as I can not seem to get mine to work despite turning Apple intelligence on in settings. Any tips or advice would be awesome

So the bug was when you asked seri for example what is the weather for the next 10 days it would tell you like for the next 10 days the weather is sunny or raining etc.
in beta 5 this was not happening.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
And has this issue been fixed in beta 6?

Hai friends voiceover volume bug fixed or not fixed

Type to siri is not broken. They have changed the gesture. If you do a 4-finger swipe down, it activates type to siri.

I was disappointed when I installed the new version of the beta in the morning. phone calls can no longer be recorded. I want to understand whether this covers everyone or is specific to some regions. I live in Turkey. Users in different countries, how is the situation with you? I was not happy when I thought that this feature would make the lives of us blind people easier.

Call recording is working fine for me in the latest beta. I just tried it on 2 different calls. I'm in Canada. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

same. works fine for me to. I live in the US.

I'm leaving in Israel and it works for me on beta 6.

Thanks Earle for the heads-up. The gesture is indeed working as you indicated.

I already have the four-finger swipe down for another gesture. What will happen? Will I lose that customized gesture, or will type to Siri not work?

By Lielle ben simon on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 - 19:50

No, you ar'nt going to loose your : gesture
It will work like it will be should.
If you want to work with Type To Siri you can use another gessture that you need to assign.

I thought this would only work on Apple Intelligence capable devices, but on my 14 Pro, I was able to assign the gesture.
