Where do I start?

App Development and Programming
Hello everyone, I have gotten interested in building universal apps for iOS and was wondering if someone could give me a few pointers on how to begin working on a program. I have registered with Apple's Developer program, but the documentation on their website seems very confusing without any knowledge of deciphering the technical jargon associated with programming. I'd be very grateful for a suggestion of something from which to learn the programming code, an accessible programming engine (i.e. something to write code, compile, debug and test the finished product), and tips on making my apps accessible. Thanks for your help!

If I were you, I would look at iTunes U. I have seen that MIT or some other big name university has iOS courses for free on there. I can't find them right now, but I will add them as a post if I can find them. Hope this helps!

I would love such a tutorial as well and hope someone can point us in the right direction. Much thanks in advance.

In the iTunes U app, search for Standford iOS or Paul Hegarty.

Hi Dillip, thanks for the info. I looked up those courses, but some kind of knowledge related to object-oriented programming seems to be a prerequisite. I don't have any previous knowledge of programming, so do you think these courses would explain everything I need to know?
