Help with XCode being busy with every movement

I am new to XCode, and am experiencing an issue where VoiceOver says XCode busy everytime I move between an item or group. After 30 or 45 seconds it will say XCode ready and then speak what I have moved to. It makes it very hard to get anything done. Does anyone know what may be causing this and how I can resolve it? I am using XCode 5.0.2 on the latest Mac Mini running Mavericks. The Mac Mini has 16 GB of RAM, no other apps are running, and I have also experienced this problem with XCode 4 on the same Mac running Mountain Lion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Sorry you never got any responses. I only recently found out how to fix this, and only just saw your post today as I was searching for something else.

In Xcode, turn on the Organizer Window (cmd-shift-2 I believe). It will pop up, and you can move between it and your project with cmd-accent, like any windows in a Mac app. The strange part is that, once you move to the Organizer Window and then back again, the busy problems will go away for a while, sometimes quite a while. When you find the problem coming back, just switch to the Organizer Window and then back - leave that window open all the time. I have no clue why this works, but it does, at least for me and a few others. Also, please email Apple Accessibility and tell them about this issue. From what I understand, it is a recent problem, so hopefully they will have it fixed soon.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I will give it a try as soon as I have a chance. I had called the accessibility number, but they basically said XCode was outside of the scope of what they could help with. I will email Apple Accessibility and keep my fingers crossed that the problem is fixed with the XCode 5.1 release.
I am using xcode 5 in Montain Lion. Everytime xcode gets busy I press cmd + tab and then cmd + tab again and the problem goes away. Please do try the suggestions and report it back .. curious to see if it worked.

I tried the suggestion of turning on the Organizer Window and using cmd-accent to move to the Organizer Window and back to my project when Xcode is busy. Unfortunately, it appears to fix the problem for a maximum of only a few seconds before Xcode returns to busy.

At this point write apple accessibility and see what happens from there.
