Hello everyone,
Because the official Telegram client is completely inaccessible to us blind users, I decided—with the help of the Codex AI—to create my own Telegram client that is fully accessible with VoiceOver.
Unfortunately, I have run into several critical bugs that I’m not able to solve on my own. First of all, I need to clearly emphasize that I am not a programmer—I have virtually no programming knowledge at all.
Even so, I tried to create something that will help all of us who are blind and make using Telegram pleasant and convenient.
Sadly, I have to say that at the moment I have not managed to correctly implement the calling system. The app very often cannot properly establish a call after answering, and it crashes when a call is not answered. It also often happens that the app does not ring at all and gives no indication that there is an incoming call.
In addition, there are many issues with telemetry, high resource usage, and performance optimization, and the app drains the battery heavily.
To connect to Telegram, I used the TDLib library.
I kindly ask and appeal to all developers here for help, because neither I nor Codex are able to fix these problems. Anyone who is interested in helping to fix the app and bring it to a usable and stable state—and who has programming experience—is welcome to contact me directly.
The app is written in SwiftUI.
