"I subscribed a few days ago when the 2.5 Pro model came out. The earlier ones already impressed me, but only this one turned out to be interesting enough for me to decide it was worth paying for. I use it, for example, to describe photos, which, in my opinion, it does significantly better than GPT. Additionally, I asked it to calculate the actual profits from one of the orders I processed, based on the laws applicable in my country. Not only did it do it correctly, but it also showed me the entire reasoning process it used to generate the response. A colleague already has access to the live video chat, and the results are more than satisfactory. I use an iPhone, so this feature isn't available to me yet."

"AI Studio only works effectively in English, and that's not my native language. Of course, I can use it, however, I'm aiming for natural conversations."

I bought a new chromebook a few months back and it came with a year subscription. It's way more cloud storage than I'll ever use. The real selling point is how well it connects to my drive, gmail, google photos etc ... I already made that deal with the data devil :). Like just this morning I asked gemini to look in my resume folder and make a resume tailored for a linked accessibility tester job. Ten minutes and a couple drafts later I had a decent, well formatted resume, much less time than fighting ms word for just the right template and wait this indent isn't right oh I need a sighted person where'd my afternoon go?

If I ever finally make the switch from iPhone to Pixel, I will definitely consider this. Alternatively, if the live AI video stuff ever becomes available on iOS with Google Gemini, I again will consider the subscription.

Just my opinion, live video isn't there yet. Gemini's seems a little better than GPT but still the same limitations. Google i/o will be interesting this year.

Hello!
currently I am using a Google Pixel 9 Pro and I have the opportunity to use Gemini Live video AI for the last couple days.
So far I can tell it's really easy and accessible to activate video streaming an switch between front and back camera.
Require strong and stable internet connection to obtain good results.
This is my own experience results may vary from user to user,
For me has works about 80% of the time with good results.

I currently use an iPhone SE 2022. So, no Apple Intelligence garbage on my device. However, I have created a shortcut to the Google AI studio webpage, and made it so that whenever I do a triple back tap, my iPhone plays a little sound effect, and then opens the live AI studio page. I have that page already set up so that location, microphone, and camera permissions are already granted. All I have to do is tap on the talk button to ask questions, or tap on the camera button to use visual AI.

The Google AI studio link can be found on this thread:

I’d say the accuracy is pretty good, however like stated above, a solid and stable Internet connection is required for best results. Being able to add a shortcut to a custom gesture makes using this service a whole lot easier as well.

I didn't realise that Gemini Advance came free with my purchase of the Pixel 9 Pro. I was at my local trainstation yesterday and it told me which coach I was standing by when the train pulled into the station. AI will always make errors time to time but it's better than having no digital assistance in my pocket.

That is pretty neat. The more I read about Pixels and Gemini, the more I want.
