Hello AppleVis community,
I’m Ali Moslehi, developer of blindGram.
blindGram 15.0 is an independent Telegram client designed for blind and low-vision Android users. It is based on Telegram’s open-source Android code and is optimized and tested mainly with TalkBack. It is not an official Telegram app. Android 5.0 or newer and a Telegram account are required.
Accessibility features include:
- Accessible message actions, media controls, recording controls, calls, and settings.
- Optional blindGram Assistant with OCR for reading text inside images.
- Instant offline image labels.
- Offline transcription of voice messages and round videos in 23 downloadable languages, without Telegram Premium.
Optional AI features include:
- Detailed image descriptions.
- Summaries of long text and voice messages.
- “Ask AI” for any message, with accessible follow-up conversations.
Users supply their own OpenRouter, OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, custom, or OpenAI-compatible API key. AI stays disabled until enabled by the user, and data transfer is disclosed. Answers and conversations remain available for seven days to avoid repeated requests and costs.
