selection Box

Before this last update, when I had something selected on the 4s, my husband was able to tell what I had selected by a box around the selection. If voiceover just said button he was able to tell what I had selected and read it for me. Now that square is gone and he has no way of telling me what I have selected. First off, can someone else who has sighted assistance please check this out and see if I'm the only one having this problem? Secondly who at Apple should I contact about this? Thanks much.
