Recommendations Needed for Dealing with Unlabelled Buttons on ChatGPT's Web UI

Hello,

When I open ChatGPT's web UI on my Intel-based MacBook Air using Safari, I encounter a lot of unlabelled buttons, making it quite challenging, if not impossible, to use the service extensively. For example, I hesitate to activate any of these buttons because I might accidentally downvote a well-written response.

The iOS app has a good relationship with VoiceOver and works perfectly, causing no problems at all. However, I sometimes prefer using ChatGPT on my MacBook Air. How do you deal with this issue?

Thank you! Sadik

There are keyboard shortcuts listed on the site that should perform the same functions as the buttons. One of the buttons is for copying the last response to the clipboard. Another button regenerates the response. I forget if there is a keyboard shortcut for that. These buttons are repeated for each Chat GPT response.

And then, when you know what those unlabelled buttons do, you can label those buttons and share your results with the rest of us.

I had my partner patiently tell me what all the unlabelled buttons were so that I could give them custom VoiceOver labels.

Perfect. Until I started a new chat and all of those custom labels were gone 🙄

I have tried to contact both Chat GPT and Perplexity about these unlabled buttons. It is hard to find feedback contacts and they never seem to respond. Unbelievable in this day and age that web designers are creating unlabeled buttons on their sites!

We need to continue to provide feedback to these designers and hope that they eventually hear the mesage. It is not rocket science to lable a button!

Totally agree, this should not be hard at all.
Ironically, when I reported to OpenAI a couple weeks ago about the unlabeled buttons in ChatGPT the automatic bot reply stated itself that labeling buttons was important for accessibility and that my feedback would be sent to the correct team. I hope that it really did that, I however doubt it.
