Description

The UI control that's present on the Lock Screen when a Focus mode is enabled foes not work as expected when using VoiceOver.

Specifically, turn on a Focus mode and then go to the Lock Screen.

At the bottom centre of the screen is a button that should give access to a dialog where you can disable the Focus Mode.

On some occasions this control can only be located by touch.

On some occasions it has the label “attachment.png, file, Do Not Disturb”.

On some occasions it has the expected label.

In all instances, the control does nothing when double-tapped (or a long press or the pass-through gesture).

In previous iOS releases it would present a dialog that allows you to either turn off the Focus mode or create a new Focus mode.

This control appears to work as expected when VoiceOver is not enabled.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Ensure that VoiceOver is enabled.
  2. Turn on a Focus Mode.
  3. Navigate to the Lock Screen.
  4. Perform a 4-finger single tap on the top half of the screen so as to place VoiceOver focus on to the first UI element.
  5. Flick right with 1-finger repeatedly to move VoiceOver focus through all UI elements present on the screen.
  6. If focus lands on the Focus UI control, listen to what VoiceOver announces.

Based upon our experience, it may or may not be as expected.

  1. When focus is on the UI control, perform a 1-finger double tap.

You should find that nothing happens.

What should happen is that a dialog will be displayed that allows you to turn off the Focus mode or create a new Focus.
