With the public release of iOS 9 now just three days away, we wanted to let you all know that we plan to have lots of information and resources ready to share with you as soon as Apple makes its new version of iOS available for download.
Our coverage will include a number of Blog posts with information on what you will find in iOS 9, along with podcast demonstrations of some new and changed features.
Some of our Editorial Team have been involved in beta testing of iOS 9, and we are busy compiling a list of new accessibility-related bugs that we expect to see in the final version. As in past years, we would strongly recommend that you read this list so that you can make an informed decision about whether to upgrade to iOS 9 at this time. Past experience would suggest that this will be a particularly hot topic and that the list will grow as people identify additional bugs, so it may also be useful to read any comments posted to the site before doing the upgrade.
We also plan to host a Twitter Q&A to coincide with the launch of iOS 9; during these chats, you will be able to ask your questions about iOS 9 and watchOS 2 (also scheduled for release on 16 September). There will be two Twitter chats, one taking place from 12:00 p.m. CDT/5:00 p.m. UTC to 2:00 p.m. CDT / 7:00 p.m. UTC; and another taking place from 7:00 p.m. CDT / 12:00 a.m. UTC to 9:00 p.m. CDT / 2:00 a.m. UTC. To participate in the chat, simply tag your question with #AppleVisLive and a member of our Editorial Team will do their best to answer it.
We're looking forward to iOS 9 finally being available, and hope that the great content we will have ready for posting will help you with getting to grips with everything that is new or changed. It's going to be extremely interesting to hear people's opinions on whether iOS 9 has been worth the hype and wait, so we will be keen to hear everybody's thoughts on this version of iOS once it is made available to the public.
We look forward to seeing you all on iOS 9 release day.

I hope
I hope it's worth the upgrade. As for iOS 9 bing released in three days, I'm excited!!
hi
hi, iPhone4s could be upgrade to ios9 like all iPhone devices.
Compatibility
If what I've read is true, if your device supports IOS 8, it can support IOS 9.
iPhone 4S is supported
Yes, the iPhone 4S supports iOS 9. All iOS devices that support iOS 8 will support iOS 9. I'm actually curious if the responsiveness of older devices decreases even more when running iOS 9. I currently have an iPad Mini first generation which obviously isn't as responsive as it used to be when I got it, because of iOS 8, obviously. Not sure if it's an iOS thing, or a VoiceOver thing, since VO can obviously be somewhat resource intensive, even when using compact voices.
a request for now and in the fture
I would like to see a post before a new major upgrade that gives information abot what we should expect during the process of upgrading. The process, what to be wary of, and so forth. I think this would be extremely beneficial. For example, do we need to have the latest version of itunes? I, due to a lack of funds, am still using Windows XP, and so have not upgraded iTunes to the latest version due to the fact that it only runs on platforms higher than XP. I will not upgrade without using iTunes due to safeguards and feedback dring the installation process. Thanks.
I hope the dictation bug...
I'm looking forward to this release! I hope the dictation bug is fixed. if yes, I will finally can do dictations again. also, several, but not all, apps have been updated for compatibility for iOS 9. it looks like Zello the push-to-talk PTT app is already compatible with iOS 9. as time goes on, more and more apps will be ready for the release on release day. and one more thing, last year the upgrade took forever. but now, not anymore! it'll be less painful to upgrade from iOS 8 to iOS 9. apple has made the update a lot more smaller. as I always say, small things come in little packages! :) see you guys on iOS 9 release day!
Awesome!
Awesome! I can't wait!
I'm hoping to read these new comments!
