AnonyMouse's App Pick of the Month: Card World: Rummy 500 & Gin

If you enjoy classic card games and want to actually play with other people, Card World: Rummy 500 & Gin, from the developer behind Dice World, is worth your time. The app brings together Gin Rummy and Rummy 500 in a turn-based multiplayer format, so you can play with friends, family, or other players around the world at your own pace.

What sets Card World apart is that accessibility is built in from the ground up. It supports VoiceOver, TalkBack, Switch Control, external keyboard navigation, Dynamic Type, and high contrast and color-blind-safe cards. There is no separate accessibility mode either, everyone plays the same game, which is exactly how it should be.

This one also feels personal to me. I have been playing Dice World with my family every day since 2012, so seeing the same developer branch into card games is exciting. Card World already has a permanent spot on my Home Screen, and with more games potentially on the way, it feels like something worth keeping an eye on.

That is why Card World is my App Pick this month. Classic gameplay, real multiplayer, and accessibility done right.

Feature Suggestion: Multi-Line Braille Support For Braille Access

By Scott Davert | April 13, 2026

In September of last year, Apple released iOS 26 bringing a lot of new features and updates. Among those new features was a suite of options called Braille Access. Braille Access, specifically Live Captions, has re-opened a lot of my world, and this is not something I state lightly. I have very little usable hearing at this point, which has lead me to not being able to enjoy some of my more audio-centric hobbies in recent months. Live Captions have re-opened those options to some extent. Not only with things like old time radio dramas, but also, since I do have some residual hearing, Live Captions have allowed me to follow audio described programming. While there is no one stream of both the dialog and descriptions exist, in a sense, Live Captions have helped make this a lower barrier. It’s also helped with things like essential phone calls and access to meetings.

iPhone 17e review: the 2026 iPhone for the masses

By Michael Hanson | April 14, 2026

I don’t know about you, but when I hear the word “budget” said about a product or service, I usually think of compromise or an experience that is less-than in some way.

Take, for example, a “budget” airline:

  • You pay for your seat assignment;
  • You pay to check a bag; and
  • You might even pay for the very basic privilege of having an agent print your boarding pass for you at check-in. (You can’t make this stuff up!)

Besides being a shameful money grab by the airlines, this level of service is “budget” in every sense of the word, and the business model is infuriatingly inferior.

But not every “budget” product is cheap. I spent three or so weeks using Apple’s new iPhone 17e immediately after launch, and unlike (insert here the name of whichever airline you love to hate), I can confidently say that this most budget of iPhones is actually a terrific value for the price. Let me explain...
