Dear AppleVis Community,

We are very excited to announce that AppleVis has partnered with the wonderful team at Be My Eyes and will reopen on September 9, 2024.

Since announcing our original plans for the site’s closure in late July 2024, we have received a tremendous outpouring of support and many generous offers of assistance—financial and technical—from both individuals and organizations. We are very grateful to all who stepped forward. Even more so than before, it is clear that people value AppleVis, the resources that we offer, and the community that we have built together.

We will reopen the AppleVis website on September 9, 2024—right in time for Apple’s Keynote and fall software releases. We will share all of our traditional content concurrent with the releases of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia, including an article detailing what’s new for blind and DeafBlind users in iOS 18; podcasts; and blogs detailing new and resolved VoiceOver bugs in both iOS and macOS.

We are incredibly grateful to the Team at Be My Eyes for their investment in and commitment to the AppleVis community. You can read more about the AppleVis-Be My Eyes partnership on the Be My Eyes website.

Hope when we have issues with the app and we express our thoughts and some trash the app, Be my AI will not attempt to stop the discussion. Want to be free to express thoughts about an app that may have issues. Long live the Apple.
