Apple has today released OS X El Capitan 10.11.3, bringing with it a series of bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements.

According to Apple's release notes via MacRumors, “OS X 10.11.3 includes unspecified bug fixes and security updates”.

Based on our testing of the betas which preceded this public release, it does not appear as though there are any accessibility-specific improvements in OS X El Capitan 10.11.3. However, it is also worth noting that we did not identify any new accessibility bugs in this release, and that the general focus of this release appears to have been on under-the-hood improvements.

As we always like to stress at this point, it is impossible for us to test all apps and use cases. So, it is possible that we have overlooked some changes, regressions or improvements. With this in mind, we would greatly appreciate your help in ensuring that the information on this page is as complete and accurate as possible. If you spot any accessibility-related changes in OS X El Capitan 10.11.3, please do let us know in the comments.

OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 is available via the Updates tab in the Mac App Store.
