Today has seen another round of software releases from Apple, with updates arriving for all of its platforms.

At the time of posting, full release notes for today's updates are not yet available. However, we are currently unaware of any outward-facing changes of note; with Apple's focus for these releases seemingly being on making the typical mix of bug fixes, security patches, and under-the-hood performance improvements.

We have been able to carry out some extremely limited testing of iOS 10.3.3 prior to today’s public release, and our experience suggests that blind and low vision users are likely to find no accessibility-related changes in this release.

As we always stress, it is impossible for us to test all applications and use cases. So, it is entirely possible that there may be some changes, regressions or improvements that we are unaware of at the time of posting. With this in mind, we would greatly appreciate your help in ensuring that the information on this page is as complete and accurate as possible. If you spot any accessibility-related changes in any of today’s releases, please do let us know by adding a comment below.

We will update this post if we learn of significant new features or changes in any of these releases.

How to Update

iOS 10.3.3 is available via Over-the-Air Update (Settings>General>Software Update) or via iTunes on your Mac or PC. As always, we recommend making a backup of your device before installing any software update.

macOS Sierra 10.12.6 is available via the Updates tab in the Mac App Store.

watchOS 3.2.3 is available by going to the Watch app on your iPhone and navigating to General> Software Update. To install the update, your Watch must be connected to its charger and have at least 50% battery power.

To install tvOS 10.2.2 on a fourth-generation Apple TV, go to the Settings channel, then look for the System section near the bottom. From here, look for Software Updates under Maintenance, then select Update Software and Download and Install.

Hi. I've got 2 iOS devices, an iPhone 7 and an iPad Minnie 4. The iPad Minnie 4 updated to 10.3.3 successfully, but my iPhone 7 is stuck at the point of the install where it's verifying the update, and I can't do anything with it. I would reboot the phone accept i'm terrified that it would make things even worse. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix this I'd be most greatful!

I finally got iOS 10.3.3 installed, but it took a lot of cursing, and putting my phone into DFU mode to get it to work. So, if the update downloads to your phone ok, but if it takes forever and ever and ever to verify the update, put your phone into DFU mode using iTunes and in a minute or two you should see an installation screen with an install now, or later buttons. I double-tapped on the install now button and that did the trick. The phone went silent for a few minutes but it came back and all works well again. Sorry to hijack the topic but if anyone else has trouble with the update, that's how I was able to fix it.

Well if you go to news app and read an article and go out voiceover still says unread. it is sad that apple is not taking the time to fix this problem. I take it we will need to wait for Ios 11.

I guess I may have been one of the lucky ones as I had no issues whatsoever updating my iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV. The only little hickup I had was with my Mac. Being a newbie to the Mac, wasn't sure if all would go well, and I thought all had gone well but after using Seeing AI (love this app by the way), found that there was an error message on the screen and since VoiceOver wasn't on, after enabling it, realized it was something to do with iTunes not being able to validate or something. So I just went back to the updates tab in the App Store and tried it again. This time, all went well and my Mac updated without a hitch. All and all, wasn't so bad of an update. Although I do find that they seem to take longer and longer to update each time though. Perhaps that is just me but I typically just leave them be and pray to the Apple gods and hope all goes well.

For some odd reason I still seem to be having a problem with these updates. They're not coming to my system until like a week later and I don't know why. But I was able to update iTunes this morning, and it's working well. I'm currently listening to one of my CD's. Will try and update either at my parents' place or my uncle's when I am down there this weekend. He and my aunt let me use their wifi the last time I was there. Perhaps this is TMI for everyone, lol! But suffice it to say I'm gonna contact Apple support again about these delayed updates, and perhaps my ISP.

@Ekaj try performing a clean install of Sierra. It sounds like something is seriously wrong with your installation. Do you only get this issue on one wi-fi network or is it everywhere you connect?

Hi,

This comment is for the person who said that they have slow updates. Do you have your ios. device attached to a carrier (At&T, Verizon etc.)? I know this only usually happens with Android, because there's so many manufactures that make phones and tablets with Android. If you have your device on a carrier, then it could be that the carrier has the update to make sure it doesn't break any devices on their network. Then it gets pushed to you, once it's confirmed to not causing problems with the network. I'd contact your carrier if you have your ios. device on one, because some carriers have gotten in the way of updates being pushed out to phones for software. I know that doesn't happen much with Apple, since they're the only company that makes the devices, so they have some leverage, clout and weight with carriers for this reason.

Or maybe with your ios. updates, you'll also get an update from your carrier too, so maybe they're combining the two. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to clarify this. Carriers have no control of iOS updates like some Android phones. So even if you get an iPhone from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile, you should normally receive iOS updates once they release by Apple.

Ok, this is pretty minor, but I did find a nice little bug fix in 10.3.3. I have my iPhone 7 set to auto-lock after three minutes of inactivity. In previous versions of iOS, after three minutes, VoiceOver would say "screen dimmed" and then almost immediately the phone would lock. This was rather annoying because, if I was doing something like listening to audio, and didn't want the phone to lock, I had no opportunity to flick or do something to keep the phone awake after the screen dimmed message. In 10.3.3, their is now like a fifteen or twenty second delay between screen dimmed and the phone locking. This is a nice fix and very useful for me.

Hello all!

I really hope someone can help me with this I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012 I was just wondering does Sierra slow down the Mac that is this old? Do any of you have a 2012 or close in year? I would really like to update but really do not want my Mac to slow down I am currently running Yosemite thank you for anyone who can help!!!

Hi. Yes this does seem to be happening everywhere I've connected my Mac, although I haven't been able to connect many places so it's kinda hard to tell. But I will try a clean install and see what happens. I'm wondering if perhaps this is somehow related to the email issue I've been experiencing. Although, I did contact my ISP yesterday and the email problem seems to be resolved. I'm not 100% sure though, because I've not been at my computer most of the day.

The Ccarriers can't be control on iOS devices. In android it's happens, and for iOS devices it's not happands llike in android.

Well, just this morning I tried a manual install of 10.12.6 and low and behold, it worked. I did a clean install last night so we'll see what happens with future updates. I'm also doing regular backups via Time Machine. Fingers crossed that last night's clean install did the trick. As far as the update itself, I have yet to really play around with it but thus far it seems to be working as prescribed.
