Apple has today introduced Invites, an app available on iOS, iPadOS, and the web for creating and managing invitations to events. Users who have a paid iCloud storage plan can invite others to events, and anyone can RSVP, regardless of whether or not they pay for iCloud storage or have an Apple device.
According to Apple's press release, invitations can be customized with personal photos, themes, and images generated using Apple Intelligence features. In addition, invitees can contribute their own photos via shared album, as well as music via collaborative Apple Music playlist.
The Invites app is available in the App Store for iOS and iPadOS, and you can access it on other platforms at iCloud.com. Our initial testing of the app suggests that it is accessible with VoiceOver, and you can learn more about its accessibility and functionality in the Invites iOS App Directory entry. We currently do not know the state of accessibility for Invites on the web, but we'll update this article with any information we learn. If you have experience or impressions of the app or web interface, please let us know by posting a comment below.
