If my memory serves me correctly, i dumped trillian a while back because while you could read Facebook statuses there was no way of reliably commenting or liking the statuses. Has this at all changed?

I'm not sure about that, but I'll look and see what I can find.

I downloaded Trillian and took it for a spin. Sadly nothing has changed. I saw a couple of unlabeled buttons without help tags and even a table with an empty "unknown" in it. The table was in the section where you add accounts. The biggest deal breaker though is the Facebook implementation. You can see news feeds and apparently events and other things too. You would be able to comment and like peoples posts, this is made from the context (VO+shift+m) menu however selecting statuses to reply to is very, very inconsistant. You can neither do a vo+spacebar on a post nor vo+shift+spacebar even if you route the mouse to where the vo cursor is, nothing happens to move the cursor to the point where you can answer a post, it looks like the first post in the html area containing the timeline gets selected, after that it's pure luck if you can select anything else. Shame, since the facebook newsfeed would be quite easy to manage if posts could be selected to act upon them. Furthermore i couldn't see any way to see if a post had been commented on. Unless someone has found a workaround for this i will waste no more time on this client as of now, there are other better clients out there and i don't have so many Instant Messaging services around that i'm on.

I just downloaded and installed this app this morning. It seems pretty accessible with VoiceOver, but I've run into a couple issues. First and foremost, the website for the app lists that there are instructions but most if not all of them seem to be missing. The other thing is that I can't seem to find any way to actually post a status update to Facebook or any message. I just imported my FB contacts, or at least some of them. I contacted the Trillian team so hopefully I'll hear back soon.

Menu Tab is pretty much like the web, so if you like using the web interface, don't bother getting that app.
