Accessibility Comments

Ableton has recently started taking accessibility very seriously, and it shows. Nearly everything is usable, from the plug-in interfaces to midi and audio editing. There are currently a few key areas that are being worked on, namely automation and Max for Live, a programming environment that allows users to create their own instrument, effect, and midi plug-ins for Ableton, as well as add their own features to the software. For a first release, what they've been able to achieve is extremely impressive. I would highly recommend anyone looking to get into music production or switch over from another DAW to give Live a shot.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

The Ableton documentation is extremely thorough and I would highly recommend everyone go through the manual. They've also got some good accessibility documentation as well. Link to accessibility FAQ: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/11762577169948-Accessibility-in-Ableton-Live-FAQ

I didn't see a price anywhere.

There are multiple versions of Live, Intro, Standard, and Sweet. Click on the "Buy now" link on the site to see the prices of each edition.

I did click on the buy now link before posting to you here. When the page opened, I tried item chooser for dollar signs and found none.

I don't much care searching web pages line by line, and since I was writing to you, or to anyone else who has purchased the app, I figured it would be a lot faster and easier to simply ask. I see now I was wrong.

Intro is $99, Standard is $439, and Sweet is $749. All prices are in US dollars. For future reference, after clicking on Buy now the various additions are delineated by heading. It's very easy to find prices for each addition. I was hesitant to post the info here because depending on what country you live in you're going to have different pricing, and I didn't want to cause any confusion. Hope that helps.
