Accessibility Comments

This app is mostly accessible. There are five tabs that are at the bottom. They are Prepare, Test, Tornado’s, Shelters, and More. The Prepare tab shows you how to prepare for a tornado, and it also tells you what to do before and after the storm. The test tab allows you to test your knowledge on tornados. Some of the sliders are not seen by VoiceOver here. For example when I took the first test, it asked me how many days should a person have water, and VoiceOver did not allow me to select an option. However, the rest of the first test did work with VoiceOver because there were checkboxes. The Tornados Tab allows you to select your location and you can set up alerts in that tab as well. The Shelters Tab allows you to find a shelter if your place was hit by a Tornado. Finally, The More tab takes you to other resources of the Red Cross, such as donating blood or to read the license agreement

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

Other Comments

I recommend that everybody in the United States get this app, especially those who live in tornado alley. Right now is the time to get your tornado plan in place because tornado season is just around the corner!
