Accessibility Comments

The accessibility of this app is not very good.

Most screens of the app will have text, but if it's something that you can click, the text will be inside of a button.

For example, when you are reading across the alarm settings menu when setting alarms, you will hear the following.

First, swiping right voiceover will just say button.

Swiping right again will say the text, and if it's a different setting, you'll hear two text labels.

For example, on difficulty setting in the set alarm menu, you'll hear the following, button, difficulty level, hard.

Speaking of difficulty, let me tell you that turning this alarm off is impossible that I ended up just deleting the app entirely.

When your alarm goes off and you have it set, you will hear a random mix of noises.

These noises are completely randomized but also obnoxious.

Usually, the noises that I have heard from this app include noises such as alarm clock beeping noises, doorbells, telephones, glass breaking noises, and sometimes even the current time.

In fact, since voiceover does not work very well with this app, I am better off using it without voiceover.

Thankfully, I have a little bit of vision but not much, so using the app without voiceover is a little bit easier to do.

I had to use the Be My AI feature in Be My Eyes to figure out some of the screens, but once I figured the screens out, I was kind of able to use the app without voiceover being on.

I am able to set alarms and change some of the settings.

Actually, the settings menu does not have much.

It only has options to download more of the apps.

Overall this app definitely needs some work and I hope they improve the design of it soon.

Speaking of design updates, I found out that in the release note, about a week or so ago, they actually changed the design and they said that they have a new redesign for it.

I wonder if the older design might have been better for this.

I just found it yesterday, so I am not exactly sure what the older design would have looked like.

Thank you.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads a few page elements.

Button Labeling

No buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

Some parts of the app are accessible with VoiceOver, but not enough to make it usable.

Other Comments

If you want something that will definitely make sure you get up in the morning, even if this app is not fully accessible to turn off, this might be a good option for you.

However, given its accessibility performance, I recommend using a different alarm clock and I will be posting more accessible alternatives to the app directly on this website.

Thank you.
