Description of App

What could be kinder than a friendly RE.minder?

Is your To-Do list app full of To-Didn’ts? You meant to get them all done but you forgot to check it in time. Maybe, instead of a to-do list, you just needed a friendly RE.minder.

To-Do lists are great, and they can be useful to get organized. But sometimes, it’s not about organization. Sometimes, it’s about getting something done on time. For that, we give you RE.minder.

Set a RE.minder with as few as 3 taps and the magic of iOS 4’s local notifications will make sure you get the nudge you need, right when you need it.

  • Pre-set categories and intervals make setting a RE.minder fast and easy.
  • Set a RE.minder to repeat at any interval.
  • The history tab stores your expired RE.minders so you can easily set them again with just two taps.
  • Set different sounds for different RE.minders.

So when you’re ready to turn those To-Didn’ts into Dones, download RE.minder for free!

Accessibility Comments

This is a very good example of how accessible an app can be. The developer has made a conscious effort to ensure the app is accessible with VoiceOver, and it shows.

Not only are the buttons clearly labelled, but where appropriate the labels also include information on the function of a button and how to use it.

I was particularly impressed with the accessibility of the category selector when creating a reminder. This is in the form of a row of icons (each labelled) which you swipe left or right to navigate. Unlike many other apps which utilize this kind of slider, this one actually works with VoiceOver (a three finger swipe). Having said that, it told me when I was on page 1 of 5, page 2 of 5, 3 of 5 and 5 of 5. The only way I could get VoiceOver to find page 4 of 5 was by temporarily disabling VoiceOver, swiping the slider, and then turning VoiceOver back on again. VoiceOver now announced page 4 of 5 when I landed on it, but no longer found page 2. I am pretty sure that I was still able to access all the available categories, but for some reason there is a glitch with the page announcements.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

Not only is this app very accessible, but it strikes me as quite a handy little tool.

I've just taken a quick look at the updated version, and I can now get to all five screens of quick picker icons. Thanks for fixing this so quickly.

I was going to make a entry for this app, but I see there is already one. I like this app because it's quicker to make a reminder with this app then the IOS 13 native reminders app version. Also, there was a problem with VoiceOver and I emailed the developer and they fixed the problem the next update. Good stuff!
